2.4 million tons was loaded using the Containerised Bulk Handling system (CBH).
In 1988, SCR was established in Mexico City, providing services to the port industry. Over the last few years, SCR started an expansion focused in the Latin American market and SCR has now presence in Panama, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Colombia, Honduras and the Bahamas.
In 2018, the SCR group of companies celebrated 30 years of providing quality service.
In 2016, SCR became the Mexican agents for ISG, implementing the CBH system.
Milestone
- The TIMSA port in Manzanillo started the CBH operations on the 23rd of April, 2017 using two tipplers and 140 containers.
- In the first 6 months, they had loaded 600,000 tons, and up to February 2019, they have loaded over 2.4 million of tons of product.
- The main products that are loaded are iron ore, copper, clinker, lead and iron pellet.
- In 2019, another two tipplers and 2000 more containers have been added to the system.
“To say that 30 years have been completed as a team is easy, but to remain in such a competitive environment as leaders in the field is a feat. Without the professional and loyal staff in SCR, it would be impossible to get where we are,” -Managing Director Israel Antonio Alvarado Magallon.
The current amount of tons loaded exceeds 4.5 m, having started with two tipplers in 2017.
