Case Study 1: Bolivia Urea Project

Case Studies Series – 1 Bolivia – Urea – The Logistic And Loading Task

How to move urea 900 km from Bulo Bulo in the Bolivia jungle to Quijarro area, a Gravetal Port on the Tamengo Chanel close to the Brazil and Bolivia border.

The channel flows to the Paraguay River then South to Rosario, Argentina 2770 km.

The Solution

(ISG) special urea designed containers loaded in Bulo Bulo Bolivia and retailed to Quijarro to be unloaded using a reach stacker and tippler.

The containers are de-cantered into chutes that flow into Bulk bags and distributed around the river system for farming.

  • 40 feet railcars, 25 railcars per convoy = 50 – ISG containers on each rake of wagons.
  • 500 ISG patented containers in the fleet and two tipplers.
